Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Neurodiagnostic Technologist to perform EEGs and related tests, prepare patients, document results, and troubleshoot equipment under supervision. The role requires prior independent EEG tech experience and a BLS certification within 30 days. Multiple shifts and a sign-on bonus with relocation assistance are available.

Qualifications

Certificate of Completion in Neurodiagnostic Technology or an equivalent credential.
Associate’s Degree in a related field or experience in lieu of formal education.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA).

Responsibilities

Cleans and disinfects equipment following infection control policies.
Completes EEGs/LTMs.
Documents data in patient charts and lab files.
Explains tests and procedures to patients for optimal results.
Performs accurate documentation.
Conducts all EEG types (bedside, electrical silence, standard lab EEGs).
Prepares patients and provides age-appropriate explanations.
Troubleshoots equipment and arranges repairs as needed.
Potential to complete additional neurodiagnostic tests per competence.
Notifies neuroscience physician for grossly abnormal EEG tracings as appropriate.
