Job summary

Ascension is seeking an Electroencephalographic Technician at Ascension St. Vincent's Riverside Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. This full-time, day-shift role supports the EEG service, reviewing records, monitoring patients during procedures, and ensuring equipment readiness.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience, BLS within 30 days, and ABRET credentialing preferred, with opportunities for tuition support and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ABRET EEG credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review patient’s record and instruct patients prior to procedures.
• Monitor patient during procedures and report any abnormal findings.
• Identify and correct for artifacts.
• Edit and forward results to attending physician for analysis and interpretation.
• Maintain EEG equipment and supplies.

Education

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
