Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Neurodiagnostic Assistant for night shifts at Burnet Campus. You will support EEG data collection, electrode placements, and data entry in Epic/Natus, while maintaining safety and infection control standards. Training for the first 6 months will be on day shift.

The role requires completing the ASET Core Curriculum within 18 months and obtaining ABRET R. EEG T. credentials within two years, with BLS required within one month of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of departmental training program and ASET Core Curriculum within 18 months of hire.
• Must obtain BLS Certification within 1 month of hire and maintain BLS Certification.
• ABRET credentialing for R. EEG T. within two years of hire and maintain thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostic Evaluations – hook patient to EEG equipment and start the study, ensuring network access.
• EEG Acquisition – apply/remove electrodes according to the 10-20 system and ensure impedance is within standards.
• Lab and Equipment Maintenance – keep equipment clean, troubleshoot problems, and maintain supplies.
• Documentation and Data Management – accurately enter patient information into Epic/Natus databases and generate patient histories.
• Neurodiagnostic Assistants assist EEG Technologists in gathering data for physician interpretation; training others as needed.

Possessess the ability to independently perform routine, ICU and LTME studies on all patient populations including neonates, critical care patients, and patients with behavior difficulties, according to the laboratory's standards.* **Documentation and Data Management -** Accurately enter patient information into database. Can navigate Epic and Natus and utilize appropriate data.
