Job summary

The University of Washington in Seattle is seeking a Research Coordinator 2 for the Department of Neurology. This 100% FTE position reports to the Principal Investigator and focuses on coordinating and implementing support research on neurodegenerative diseases, including Huntington’s disease, Parkinson’s, and ataxias, with emphasis on protocol management, patient enrollment, and data quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge and prior experience with human subjects IRB process.
• Experience in clinical trial processes and implementation of research protocols.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Training in ethical conduct of research with human subjects.
• Applicants required to complete clinical research training within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate protocol management, audits and regulatory documents for accuracy and compliance.
• Recruit, screen, consent, enroll and follow up patients in clinical trials.
• Assist in scheduling appointments, ordering tests and procedures, and data collection.
• Communicate with outside physicians regarding referrals and trial engagement.
• Prepare interim reports for investigators and sponsors and support data analysis.
