Job summary

Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC, seeks a Clinical Research Coordinator 2 to manage ALL ALS studies within the Neurology department, coordinating visits, ensuring protocol adherence, and serving as the primary point of contact for trial participants.

The role requires strong regulatory experience, proficiency with OnCore/CTMS, and a solid background in clinical research within neuromuscular disorders, with on-site responsibilities five days a week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, at minimum.
• 5 years minimum work experience as a Clinical Trial Coordinator or Clinical Research Assistant.
• 3 years of experience in a clinical setting with direct patient interaction.
• 2–3 years in areas such as human subjects research, nursing, occupational health, or related supportive roles.
• Experience with Neurology patients, specifically MS and neuromuscular clinics.
• Regulatory maintenance, preparation, and IRB submission activities.
• Current CITI Group 1 Biomedical, HIPAA, and IATA Training.
• Experience handling human biological specimens and ability to operate a centrifuge.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate visits and learn the schedule of assessments for each trial.
• Conduct entire study visits ensuring protocol adherence and patient needs.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with university conduct of clinical research.
• Coordinate with ancillary departments (Radiology, CRU, etc.) to support visits.
• Communicate with patients and sponsors; respond to inquiries within 24 hours.
• Triage issues, schedule follow-up visits, and ensure timely data entry and AE reporting.
