Position: Neurodiagnostic Technician

Hours: 32 Hours, 7:30A-4:00p

Summary of Job Responsibilities:

The Neurodiagnostic Technician is responsible for conducting patient testing including, but not limited to, EMG’s, electroencephalograms (EEG), nerve conduction studies (NCS), and electronystagmograms (ENG). Responsibilities include maintaining timely completion of daily patient testing, accurate documentation, and physical maintenance of clinical testing equipment. The incumbent performs all duties in strict compliance with policies, procedures, and protocols, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and privacy.

Education:
  • High school graduate or equivalency test.
  • Associate Degree from an accredited school for Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists preferred but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of anatomy (muscles, nerves, vestibular system, visual system), basic electronics, instrumentation, and average mathematical skills.
Experience:
  • Two years recent experience conducting EEG required.
  • Experience in EMG and ENG preferred but not required.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Broad range of administrative or technical skills.
  • Knowledge of Electroneurodiagnostics.
  • Ability to gather, organize, verify, analyze data, and operate complex diagnostic equipment.
