Job description

Shift: 32 Hours

Hours: 7:30A - 4:00P

Summary of Job Responsibilities:

The Neurodiagnostic Technician is responsible for conducting patient testing including, but not limited to, EMGs, electroencephalograms (EEG), nerve conduction studies (NCS), and electronystagmograms (ENG). Responsibilities include maintaining timely completion of daily patient testing, accurate documentation, and physical maintenance of clinical testing equipment. The incumbent performs all duties in strict compliance with policies, procedures, and protocols, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and privacy.

Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate Degree from an accredited school for Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists preferred but not required
  • Basic knowledge of anatomy (muscles, nerves, vestibular and visual systems), basic electronics, instrumentation, and average mathematical skills
Experience:
  • Two years recent experience conducting EEG required
  • Experience in EMG and ENG, in addition to EEG, preferred but not required
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Broad range of administrative or technical skills
  • Detailed knowledge of Electroneurodiagnostics
  • Ability to gather, organize, verify, analyze data, and produce output within departmental standards
  • Operate complex diagnostic medical equipment
