Beacon Health System is hiring a part-time, day-shift Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse for the Medical Neuro Stroke Unit at Elkhart General Hospital in Elkhart, IN. The position is 0.75 FTE (30 hours per week) with a day shift from 7:00 a.m.

to 7:30 p.m. As a Medical Neuro Stroke Unit RN/LPN, you will deliver professional nursing care, assess needs, and implement individualized plans of care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and

Qualifications

• ASN is required; BSN preferred.
• Current Indiana RN license.
• Must obtain BSN within five years of employment or become certified in their area of specialty.
• NIHSS Certification required after starting

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in the Medical Neuro Stroke Unit.
• Assess patient needs and implement individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe, high-quality care.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes per established guidelines.
• Advocate for patients and families and participate in care decisions.
• Support professional development of peers through mentoring and precepting.
