Job summary
HCA Florida JFK Hospital is seeking a Charge Nurse RN Neuro Stepdown to lead and coordinate high-quality care for neuro patients in a fast-paced unit. You will collaborate with the management team to monitor nursing care and ensure adherence to hospital policies, while serving as a resource for staff and contributing to an exceptional patient experience.
You will engage with a multidisciplinary team, assist with admissions and discharges, and coach staff to enhance performance and engagement.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current State of Florida Registered RN License, or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements).
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification via American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- A minimum of one year acute care Medical/Surgical/Telemetry RN experience.
- Experience with Neuro patients in an Acute Care hospital setting preferred.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver high quality, patient-centered care with multidisciplinary teams.
- Assist with admission and discharge processes.
- Partner with leadership to support improved outcomes and service.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and training to improve performance and engagement.
- Assist with staff scheduling.
