HCA Florida JFK Hospital is seeking a Charge Nurse RN Neuro Stepdown to lead and coordinate high-quality care for neuro patients in a fast-paced unit. You will collaborate with the management team to monitor nursing care and ensure adherence to hospital policies, while serving as a resource for staff and contributing to an exceptional patient experience.

You will engage with a multidisciplinary team, assist with admissions and discharges, and coach staff to enhance performance and engagement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current State of Florida Registered RN License, or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements).
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification via American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• A minimum of one year acute care Medical/Surgical/Telemetry RN experience.
• Experience with Neuro patients in an Acute Care hospital setting preferred.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordinates all functions in the unit. In partnership with the management team, the CNC monitors and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies. The CNC serves as a resource for staff and supports an unparalleled patient experience.

What you will do in this role:

• Partner with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver high quality, patient-centered care.
• Assist with admission and discharge processes.
• Partner with subject matter experts and leadership team to support improved outcomes and service.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and training to improve performance and engagement.
• Assist with staff scheduling.

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current State of Florida Registered RN License, or
• Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification via American Heart Association or American Red Cross
