Job summary

Missouri Baptist Medical Center, part of BJC HealthCare, seeks an RN for the Neuro PCU on a part-time basis. The unit provides care for stroke, seizure, MS, and general medical patients in a Magnet-certified hospital with a strong emphasis on nursing excellence.

Role involves direct patient care, care planning, and collaboration with the interprofessional team. A Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree is required, RN license is required, and a Bachelor's in Nursing is preferred.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or an Associate's degree in nursing is required.
• RN licensure is required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
• Educates patients and families on how to manage illness or injury, including post-treatment home care and medication administration.
• Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
• Develops and documents individualized plans of care with defined goals in coordination with the interprofessional team.
• Assess and respond to patient preferences, barriers, and emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population-specific needs.
