Job summary

Carilion Clinic is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Roanoke, VA area. You will work three 12-hour shifts weekly (day/evening/night) and participate in required orientation sessions during daytime hours.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, transporting patients, and supporting unit operations to ensure a high-quality patient experience. First-week orientation and competency validation are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete orientation and competency validation for position.
• Effective interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills required.
• Experience not required but helpful for patient interaction.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and comfort.
• Transports patients, supplies, and equipment within the facility.
• Documents patient observations and notifies licensed staff.
• Participates in unit quality activities and coordinates with team for patient flow.
