Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Health System is expanding its Neuro/Spine OR capacity at the Main Campus in Cleveland. The Surgical Technologist will support complex neurosurgical procedures, maintain sterile technique, and collaborate with surgeons and nurses in a fast-paced, night-shift environment.

The role involves scrub and circulating duties, gowning and draping, and ensuring patient safety through meticulous counts and sterile field maintenance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Surgical Technology Program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES.
• Military surgical tech programs also acceptable.
• Certification CST or TS-C required for non-accredited graduates.
• BLS certification required by AHA or Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist in circulating roles under RN/ surgeon supervision.
• Set up sterile tables and ensure supplies and equipment are available.
• Count sponges and instruments at key times during surgery.
• Assist in gowning/gloving and draping
• Maintain aseptic conditions throughout procedure
• Participate in intraoperative timeout and specimen labeling.
