Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a Surgical Technologist for the General OR at our Main Campus in Cleveland. The role involves performing scrub duties, circulating under an RN, and assisting with a wide range of complex procedures in a dynamic, high‑acuity environment.

You will help maintain a sterile field, prepare supplies and equipment, pass instruments, and support sterilization before and after cases. Growth opportunities exist in a team‑focused setting with excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program accredited through CCAAHEP or ABHES.
• Certification as TS-C or CST, or completion of a military Surgical Technology Program, or state license as LPN.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through AHA or Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Perform scrub functions and assist in circulating functions under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Set up sterile table and ensure supplies, drugs and equipment are available.
• Assist RN in counting sponges and instruments during surgery.
• Assist with gowning and gloving and draping of patients.
• Maintain aseptic conditions throughout procedures and participate in intraoperative timeouts.
• Collect, identify and label specimens and hand to circulator for disposition.
• Coordinate outpatient procedures, assist with clinic flow and provide information to patients and families.
• Scribes for providers in outpatient settings and support post-op communication as instructed.
