Job summary

AdventHealth in Parker, CO is seeking a compassionate Patient Care Technician to support new admissions and maintain patient safety and comfort. You will assist with transfers, monitor vital signs, and help keep patient areas clean and secure.

A strong focus on communication and teamwork is essential for high-quality care. Responsibilities include documenting assessments, assisting with activities of daily living, and collaborating with nursing staff to ensure accurate, timely care.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR (BLS) certification required.
• CPCT/A, NCPCT, PCT-C or CNA certifications preferred.
• Experience in healthcare settings and patient care duties preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare rooms for new admissions and set up patient care items.
• Welcome admissions and orient patients to their rooms.
• Assist transfers between beds, stretchers, and wheelchairs with staff assistance.
• Document intake, output, vital signs, and weights per policy.
• Collect and label specimens and send to lab for analysis.
• Communicate changes in patient status promptly to staff and physicians.
• Maintain patient records and unit census.
• Respond to patient call lights and meet needs per skill level.
