Job summary

Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation in Waterville, ME, is hiring a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for neuro home and community care. This role delivers neuro-focused rehabilitation outside traditional clinics, helping patients rebuild communication, cognition, and swallowing abilities in real-life settings.

You will work with a cognitive-communication and swallowing-focused caseload, enjoying clinical autonomy, flexible scheduling, and meaningful, relationship-based rehab.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Master's Degree from an accredited Speech Language Pathology program.
• Valid Speech Language Pathology license in the state(s) of practice.
• Current CPR Certification.
• A minimum of one year's work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Demonstrates knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological injury preferred.
• Communicates effectively and professionally in verbal and written interactions.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and assist with moving patients following safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans for patients with speech, language, cognitive and swallowing disorders.
• Regularly reassess effectiveness of treatment plans and participate in staffing meetings and family conferences.
• Perform discharge evaluations and provide home and community safety recommendations and resources.
• Communicate patients' needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, and families.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure coordinated care and better patient outcomes.
