Job summary

Cedars-Sinai's Stroke & Neurological Rehabilitation Clinic in Los Angeles is seeking a Per diem Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients per physician prescriptions, with care aligned to standards and ethics.

You will develop comprehensive care plans, coordinate with the care team, document promptly, and deliver patient-centered education while supporting hospital quality and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited Speech Pathology program is required.
• California State Speech Language Pathologist License is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• One (1) year of experience is required.
• Competent to perform evaluations, design and implement treatment plans and provide education appropriate to the patient age.

Responsibilities

• Performs evaluations appropriate to established procedures with prescription/order.
• Develops a comprehensive plan of care supported by evaluation findings.
• Manages speech therapy care and coordinates with the care team.
• Completes all required documentation accurately and timely.
• Uses evidence-based interventions to maximize patient outcomes tailored to patient populations.
• Provides patient education appropriate for patient population.
• Identifies safety concerns and ensures a safe environment and informed consent.
• Assists discharge planning and follow-up needs with care team.
