Job summary

Texas NeuroRehab Center in Austin, part of Universal Health Services, seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist for the LTAC Unit to evaluate and treat speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in neurologically affected patients. Focus is on returning individuals to home and community settings.

Qualifications include TX SLP licensure, CPR, CFY completion, and experience with brain injury and neurogenic communication disorders. Collaborative, hospital-based rehab environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of adolescent and adult speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
• Experience with brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injuries, and other neurological disorders.
• Current Texas SLP licensure. CPR certification.
• Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in neurologically impaired patients.
• Focus on evaluating and improving cognitive-communicative abilities to return patients home or to community settings.
