Job summary

Saint Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center (SJHMC) in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver compassionate, high‑quality care and support recovery through a patient‑centered approach. You will perform assessments, procedures, and implement care plans within an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.

Required ADN/ Diploma/ BSN or foreign equivalent, AZ RN license, and BLS. Preferred 1 year acute care experience and BSN.

Qualifications

  • ADN/ Diploma/ BSN or foreign equivalent required.
  • Licensed RN in AZ.
  • American Heart Association BLS required.

Responsibilities

  • Provides comprehensive, safe nursing care to achieve desired health outcomes.
  • Organizes and prioritizes patient care activities with patient comfort in mind.
  • Demonstrates accountability for ethical behavior and escalates issues when needed.
  • Advocates for patients with holistic care.
  • Recognizes and responds to changes in patient condition promptly.
  • Uses SBAR to notify physicians and share clinical findings at the bedside.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

  • Provides comprehensive, safe, and effective, evidence-based nursing care to achieve desired health outcomes for the patient.
  • Organizes and prioritizes patient care activities balanced with the needs and comfort of the patient.
  • Demonstrates accountability for own ethical behavior, and supports ethical practice by addressing and/or escalating issues.
  • Serves as an advocate for patients needs by demonstrating holistic care practices.
  • Demonstrates the ability to recognize and adapt to changes in patients condition (i.e. Lab, vitals, signs and test values) in a timely and clinically appropriate manner.
  • Utilizes SBAR format tool to notify physicians, and other providers of clinical findings, performs nurse-to-nurse report at the bedside.
