Job summary

Saint Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center (SJHMC) in Phoenix, AZ, seeks a Neuro Telemetry Nurse (RN) to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care, perform critical assessments, and develop individualized care plans to support patient recovery in a fast-paced setting.

As part of an interdisciplinary team, you will contribute to optimal patient outcomes while upholding the highest standards of clinical excellence, patient advocacy, and professional growth within a leading academic medical center

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Registered Nurse: AZ license.
  • American Heart Association BLS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provides comprehensive, safe, and effective, evidence-based nursing care to achieve desired health outcomes for the patient. Organizes and prioritizes patient care activities balanced with the needs and comfort of the patient.
  • Demonstrates accountability for own ethical behavior, and supports ethical practice by addressing and/or escalating issues. Assumes accountability for decisions made. Holds self and others accountable for effective communication skills.
  • Serves as an advocate for patients' needs by demonstrating holistic care practices. Connects with and establish relationships with the patient and their family/caregivers using therapeutic communication skills.
  • Demonstrates the ability to recognize and adapt to changes in patients' condition in a timely and clinically appropriate manner.
  • Utilizes SBAR format tool to notify physicians, and other providers of clinical findings, performs nurse-to-nurse report at the bedside.
  • Recognizes limits of scope of practice, seeks multidisciplinary collaboration, utilizes appropriate resources, and follows chain of command.

Job Requirements (Required)
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Registered Nurse: AZ
  • American Heart Association BLS

  • One year recent acute care experience
  • Bachelors Of Science Nursing
