Learning Services, A Collage Rehabilitation Partner in Escondido, CA, is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Cook to oversee our food service operations and ensure meals are healthy, safe, and nutritious for clients.

You will plan balanced menus, manage kitchen inventory, prepare meals, and uphold high standards of sanitation while collaborating with clinical teams to support holistic client care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in food service, meal preparation, dietary planning, and nutrition.
• Safe Food Handler certification preferred or required where applicable.
• Strong knowledge of food safety practices, excellent communication, and active problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals and beverages to clients.
• Develop menus meeting nutritional needs and dietary preferences.
• Monitor, order, and purchase weekly food supplies; maintain a 3-day on-site supply.
• Oversee sanitation and safety of kitchen and storage areas.
• Train staff on proper food handling and sanitation procedures and client dietary guidelines.
• Identify and report changes in clients' condition to the care team for holistic care.
• Complete administrative tasks including inventory logs and certifications.
