Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Neuro Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at Texas Health Dallas. The role is full-time days with rotating weekend and holiday requirements, focusing on stroke and neuro-cardiac patients in a 35-bed unit.

You will deliver care using nursing processes, assess patients, plan and intervene with age-appropriate safety measures, and ensure smooth inter-shift care transitions. Strong collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma of Nursing or ADN required.
• BSN preferred.
• 1 year Stepdown/Progressive Care or 3 years Telemetry in acute care preferred.
• RN license in Texas or compact license required.
• BCLS certification required on hire; ACLS within 90 days.
• CPI training within 60 days of hire; PCCN/SCRN preferred not required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care using the Nursing Process.
• Assess the patient and plan the care.
• Intervene as appropriate and evaluate outcomes.
• Maintain safety and infection control for all ages.
• Communicate information to patients and families.
• Ensure continuity of care across shifts and transfers.
