Job summary

Covenant Health is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant with a Neuro preference for our therapy centers in East Tennessee. The role involves evaluating and implementing treatment plans in an outpatient setting for a variety of conditions, with an emphasis on neurological rehab and post-operative care.

The position is full-time, 80 hours per pay period, day shift, with Monday-Friday hours and no weekends.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience in physical therapy, with at least 1 year in neuro/orthopedic rehab.
• Current Tennessee Physical Therapist Assistant license and CPR certification.
• Valid Tennessee driver’s license (Class D) and minimum state required auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Administers PTA treatment programs and documents patient progress.
• Provides input for discharge planning and collaborates with therapists and other health professionals.
• Maintains patient records and ensures compliance with chart audits and payer guidelines.
• Engages in staff training, mentorship, and clinical instruction for students as applicable.
• Helps develop and evaluate standards of care and evidence-based practices.
