Job summary

Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist for outpatient neuro adult care in Grand Rapids, MI. The role involves evaluating patients, planning and executing individualized therapy programs, and ensuring adherence to Michigan OT scope of practice.

Ongoing education and program development are emphasized. The position requires completing an AOTA-accredited OT program and NBCOT certification, with responsibilities aligned to Mary Free Bed's Pillars of Excellence.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.

Responsibilities

• Staff will provide patient care and services within the scope of their license.
• Evaluates patient condition and establishes treatment goals with patient/family.
• Delivers and documents occupational therapy treatment and progress.
• Develops written treatment plans and administers treatments.
• Re-evaluates patient progress and revises goals as needed.
• Instructs patient and family in OT procedures and exercises.
• Communicates with the treatment team to integrate OT with other care.
• Supports program operations and participates in staff orientation and training.
