Job summary

Banner Health's University Medical Center Phoenix is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the Neuro team in the Surgery department. This role prepares and passes instruments, maintains aseptic technique, and ensures smooth operating room turnover.

Full-time, day shift with 40 hours per week; hours vary (4-10s or 3-12s); on-call weekend/holiday rotations with differential pay. Requires HS diploma and BLS; state license if applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Where applicable, must be registered with State Regulatory Agency.
• Ability to stay composed and organized in stressful surgical emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for surgical procedures and ensures instruments/supplies are ready.
• Passes instruments and assists surgeon during procedures.
• Maintains aseptic technique and manages instrument counts.
• Assists with OR turnover and stock replenishment between cases.
• May provide administrative support to the department.
