Formación

• High school diploma or GED with current BLS certification.
• Certified surgical technologist or 2–3 years of surgical technologist experience.
• State registration where applicable.
• Scrub proficient in at least two surgical specialties.
• Must have manual dexterity and remain composed in stressful emergencies.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares for surgical procedures and pulls instruments, ensuring tools are in good working order.
• Anticipates surgeon’s needs and passes instruments.
• Maintains aseptic technique and handles sharps and supplies properly.
• Assists with OR turnover, stocking supplies, and cleaning operating rooms.
• Participates in training and orientation of surgical technology staff and students.
