The role combines clinical clinics and surgical duties with teaching medical students and residents, and opportunities for clinical and bench research within an academic track.

The successful candidate will join a division with a focus on teaching, patient care, and scholarly activity.

Qualifikationen

• Medical Doctorate or equivalent degree.
• Board eligible or board certified in Ophthalmology; Kansas licensure eligibility.
• Completion of a surgical Neuro-Ophthalmologist fellowship; experience in clinical and surgical Neuro-Ophthalmology.

Aufgaben

• Provide Neuro-Ophthalmology clinics and surgery days.
• Supervise medical students and residents in clinics and surgeries.
• Participate in shared call coverage, inpatient consults, and JayDoc clinics.
• Maintain professional relationships with patients per patient experience surveys.
• Serve on departmental committees and contribute to the School of Medicine and the University.
• Engage in clinical research and present at national/regional meetings as appropriate.
• Provide clinical and surgical services to the VA and other sites under professional services agreements.
