The Carle Neuroscience Institute is seeking a BE/BC Neuro-Oncologist to join our growing academic program in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois.
Opportunity Details
- Fellowship training from UCNS-accredited program required.
- Candidates with experience and new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Work with a team of 7 neurosurgeons, 7 hematology/oncology physicians, 4 radiation oncologists, and several APPs.
- Must be open to mentoring and teaching Neurology residents and medical students.
- Neuro-oncologist would have a clinic at the Carle Cancer Institute with appropriate staffing and access to Infusion Rooms. Practice in a multi-disciplinary setting with biweekly Brain Tumor Board and strong support from all hospital services.
- Become a member of our future multi-disciplinary neuro-oncology clinic with clinical collaboration and backup coverage with hematology/oncology physicians.
- Exceptional opportunities to conduct basic science or translational research in collaboration with faculty at the University of Illinois.
- Unique opportunity to conduct clinical research using our state-of-the-art 7T MR suite at Carle Foundation Hospital.
- The U of I has a strong focus on neuroscience, including research projects in cognitive neuroscience, imaging, MRI, and molecular imaging (PET/SPECT/CT).
- Carle Hematology/Oncology, Radiation Oncology, and Neurosurgery are committed to providing high-quality care for patients with brain, skull base, and spine tumors.

About the Carle Neuroscience Institute:
- Home of Carle Foundation Hospital's ACGME-accredited Neurology residency program.
- As a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center from DNV Healthcare, CNI provides comprehensive services including Vascular Neurology, Neurosurgery, Neuroradiology, and Neuro-interventional services.
- Carle neurosurgeons perform awake craniotomies, neuro-navigation, operative microscopy, intra-operative ultrasound, neuro-monitoring, and fluorescence-guided glioma resections. Spinal fusion is available for metastatic spine disease.
- Carle Radiation Oncology uses state-of-the-art technology with Varian True Beam linear accelerator for conformal radiation therapy, including stereotactic radiosurgery.
- Accreditations include Level 3 Epilepsy Center, and awards such as the 2022 AHA/ASA Stroke Gold Plus, and recognition as one of Healthgrades' America's 100 Best Hospitals for Stroke Care in 2021 and 2022.

Compensation and Benefits
