Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center, based in Tampa, FL, is seeking an APRN or PA-C to join the Neuro Oncology – Medical Oncology team. This role provides patient care within a defined scope, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to optimize outcomes for patients with diverse neuro-oncology conditions.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred), are licensed in Florida, and possess BLS (ACLS a plus).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Advanced Registered Nurse practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Active Florida medical license and national certification where applicable.
• Active BLS; ACLS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care as a member of an interdisciplinary team, coordinating with multiple specialists.
• Correlates subjective and objective data to formulate a differential or working diagnosis.
• Forms and implements treatment plans within scope of practice.
• May perform minor procedures within scope of practice.
• Prescribes oral and IV medications when appropriate, within scope of practice.
• Documents patient care in accordance with medical staff rules.
