The role focuses on developing a network-wide Neuro-Oncology program with collaboration across neurosurgery, pathology, medical and radiation oncology.

Qualifications

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Neurology and Neuro-Oncology.
• Completion of Neurology residency and Neuro-Oncology fellowship.
• Valid, unrestricted medical license to practice in North Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the Neuro-Oncology program across the network.
• Collaborate with neurosurgery, pathology, medical and radiation oncology.
• Teach medical students, residents and advanced practice providers.
• Organize system-wide Neuro-Oncology clinical pathways, tumor board and trials.

Novant Health is seeking a full-time BC/BE Neuro-Oncologist in Charlotte, NC to join established Neuroscience group with specialists in neurosurgery, headache, neuroimmunology, neuromuscular disorders, epilepsy, stroke, neuropsychology, neurohospitalist, neurointensivists, and neurointerventional surgery.

Position Details:

• Seeking Neurologist to care for Neuro-Oncology patients with primary and metastatic CNS tumors to help develop a network-wide program in neuro-oncology, centered at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC.
• Affiliated with Novant Health, a not-for-profit health network with 19 acute hospitals across North and South Carolina
• Immediate opportunity to contribute to and develop system wide initiatives including the Neuro-Oncology clinical pathways and treatment protocols, Neuro-Oncology system wide tumor board, and Neuro-oncology system wide clinical trials.
• Large referral base from throughout the Novant Health network.
• Will work with neurosurgeons, neuropathologists, medical oncologists, and radiation oncologists throughout the Novant Health network.
• Opportunity to teach medical students, residents, and advance practice providers.
