Novant Health is recruiting a full-time BC/BE Neuro-Oncologist to join the Wilmington, NC neuroscience team. The role focuses on building a comprehensive neuro-oncology program with collaboration across neurosurgery, neuropathology and medical/radiation oncology within the Novant Health network.

The position offers opportunities to contribute to clinical pathways, tumor boards, and system-wide trials while teaching medical students, residents and advanced practice providers.

Qualifications

• Neurology residency completed with subspecialty training in neuro-oncology.
• Fellowship in Neuro-Oncology completed or in progress.
• Board certification or eligibility in Neurology; licensure to practice in NC.

Responsibilities

• Help develop a system-wide neuro-oncology program centered at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
• Collaborate with neurosurgery, neuropathology, medical and radiation oncology across the network.
• Teach medical students, residents and advanced practice providers.
• Contribute to neuro-oncology clinical pathways, tumor boards and clinical trials.
• Grow referral network and participate in program development.

Novant Health is seeking a full-time BC/BE Neuro-Oncologist in Wilmington, NC to join established Neuroscience group with specialists in neurosurgery, headache, neuroimmunology, neuromuscular disorders, epilepsy, stroke, neuropsychology, neurohospitalist, neurointensivists, and neurointerventional surgery.

Position Details:

• Seeking Neurologist to care for Neuro-Oncology patients with primary and metastatic CNS tumors to help develop a network-wide program in neuro-oncology, centered at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC.
• Affiliated with Novant Health, a not-for-profit health network with 19 acute hospitals across North and South Carolina
• Immediate opportunity to contribute to and develop system wide initiatives including the Neuro-Oncology clinical pathways and treatment protocols, Neuro-Oncology system wide tumor board, and Neuro-oncology system wide clinical trials.
• Large referral base from throughout the Novant Health network.
• Will work with neurosurgeons, neuropathologists, medical oncologists, and radiation oncologists throughout the Novant Health network.
• Opportunity to teach medical students, residents, and advance practice providers.

Qualification(s):
