Job summary

Corewell Health's 4S Butterworth unit in Grand Rapids is seeking a registered nurse to provide bedside care for neuroscience and neurosurgical patients. You will support spine surgeries, craniotomies, brain tumor procedures, stroke and other neurological conditions, with emphasis on fall risk and complex cases.

Under supervision, you will perform routine tasks, monitor patients overnight, coordinate with physicians, assist with procedures, and ensure safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Direct patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine bedside nursing care and treatments for assigned patients.
• Assist with daily living activities, bed mobility, and personal care; manage bedpans or urinary devices; care for patient belongings.
• Assist in catheterizations, suctioning, irrigating colostomies, applying restraints, enemas, douches and sitz baths or peri care.
• Provide care to multiple neuroscience patients, with focus on high fall risk cases.
