Job summary

Kansas Health System is seeking a Neuro Interventional Radiologic Technologist to support diagnostic, interventional and ultrasound-guided radiologic procedures in a fast-paced environment. The role requires sterile technique, strict safety protocols, and accurate documentation of procedures and charges.

The ideal candidate will have radiologic licensure, BLS and experience in vascular, spinal and extremity imaging, with on-call responsibilities as part of the role.

Qualifications

  • High School Graduate.
  • Associates Degree Radiologic Technology OR
  • Associates Degree Cardiovascular Technology OR
  • Associates Degree Vascular Technology OR
  • Associates Degree Healthcare Related Field OR
  • Bachelors Degree Healthcare Related Field.
  • 1 or more years Previous Experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, or Electrophysiology Lab.
  • Basic Life Support Heartsaver (BLS HS) - American Heart Association
  • Radiography (R) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • Licensed Radiologic Technologist (LRT) - Kansas Board of Healing Arts
  • Second language preferred

Responsibilities

  • Must maintain competence in assisting during physician supervised procedures with sterile preparation of patient access areas and supplies.
  • Document use of contrast material and patient charges.
  • Perform radiologic imaging procedures across vascular, spinal, neurological and general chest, abdomen, pelvis and extremity locations.
  • Complete mandatory educational assignments as directed by supervisor, nurse manager or director.
  • Follow policies on confidentiality, HIPAA, culture of safety, and reporting of unsafe actions.
  • Maintain clean and organized work environment; ensure rooms and equipment are cleaned between procedures.
  • Maintain licensure, life support certification, and IV competence.
  • Understand and use inventory tracking system and order supplies as needed.
  • Participate in on-call responsibilities and potential overtime.
  • Assist Radiology residents during preceptorship training.
  • Possess professional, clinical and technical competencies for the assigned unit.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as required.
