Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking Registered Nurses for the Neuroscience Intermediate Care Unit in Norfolk, VA. The role offers multiple shifts and includes a sign-on bonus up to $20,000 for experienced RNs, with new grads encouraged to apply.

You will provide nursing care using the nursing process, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support neuroscience patients, including stroke and neurosurgery cases. RNs must have an RN license and BLS; ACLS within 1 year is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing is required.
• BSN or MSN preferred.
• Virginia RN license or compact/multi-state eligible; BLS within 90 days; Critical Care/IMCU ACLS within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent nursing care following the nursing process and standards of practice.
• Collaborate with neurology and neurosurgery teams to deliver specialized neuroscience care.
• Support patients and families through perioperative and post-operative care in IMCU.
