Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Neuroscience ICU. Multiple shifts; full-time 36 hours/week with night shifts 7p-7a. Up to $20,000 sign-on for qualified applicants.

The Neuroscience ICU delivers multidisciplinary care for severe neurological conditions and uses advanced monitoring technologies to improve outcomes. Requirements include RN license, BLS/ACLS within 90 days, and 1 year of ICU/step-down or med/surg experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required).
• RN license is required; BLS within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS within 90 days of hire; Neonatal or critical care certifications a plus.
• Minimum 1 year emergency, intermediate care, ICU or med/surg experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent nursing care using the nursing process.
• Care for Neuroscience ICU patients with neurological emergencies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team; monitor advanced tech.
• Support education, safety, and family communication.
