Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking Registered Nurses for the Neuroscience Intermediate Care Unit. New grads encouraged to apply; up to a $20,000 sign-on bonus for experienced RNs.

The RN provides nursing care using the nursing process, with standards of practice and professional performance in ethics, communication, collaboration, and evidence-based practice. Units include care for stroke, epilepsy, brain tumors, and other neurosurgical conditions.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate’s Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing.
• BSN or MSN preferred for advanced roles.
• Virginia RN license or multi-state eligibility.
• BLS within 90 days; ACLS within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process.
• Care for neuroscience patients in IMCU/Neuroscience unit.
