Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensure as Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island.
• Baccalaureate in Nursing preferred. Must have current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Rhode Island.
• Receive NIHSS Certification within 3 months of hire; 8 hours of continuing stroke education required annually.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care.
• Provides leadership by delegating, supervising and participating in safe nursing care activities.
• Collaborates with the healthcare team, patient, family and community services regarding the patient care outcome/discharge planning.
• Assesses and provides teaching based on patient and family needs.
• Participates in unit-based quality improvement and research activities.
