Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Neuro ICU unit, a 12-bed critical care team focused on complex neurological conditions. The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, continuous learning, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires an RN license with active privileges, BLS, and at least 1 year of clinical nursing experience. BSN preferred; telehealth considerations apply where applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active registered nurse (RN) license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where the RN is providing client nursing services.
• BLS certification required; additional education or certifications may be required based on specialty.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to protocols.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units within the service area to meet patient care needs.
