Job summary

MetroHealth Main Campus is seeking a dedicated Nurse Assistant to support comprehensive neuroscience care on a high-demand unit. The role involves direct patient care, monitoring, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, patient-centered outcomes.

The position requires a High School Diploma, basic life support certification, and the ability to work rotating shifts. Prior hospital experience is aPlus, with opportunities for tuition reimbursement and employee benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work in a team with good judgment, flexibility, initiative, and problem-solving skills.
• Current AHA BLS for healthcare providers or within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred: STNA in good standing with Ohio Nurse Aide Registry.
• Preferred: 1 year of hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal hygiene, eating and drinking.
• Answer call lights and take vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, height, weight).
• Perform/transmit basic ECG and phlebotomy.
• Collaborate with RNs, LPNs, Nurse Interns, and therapy teams.
