OU Health seeks an experienced RN for the Neuro ICU on a part-time night schedule. The RN I provides high-quality hospital care under supervision, aligning with OU Health values and ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities include medications, IV therapy, and coordination with physicians and family members. The role requires an RN license (OK or multi-state), and BLS certification, with 0-3 years of RN experience.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• 0-3 years of experience in patient care as a Registered Nurse.
• Current Registered Nurse License (OK State Board of Nursing or multi-state compact).
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) certification required upon hire.
• Knowledge of basic professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.
• Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services.
• Ability to maintain civility and good working relationships with other employees.
• Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.

Responsabilités

• Align behaviors with OU Health values and maintain nursing professional practice standards.
• Assumes responsibility for an assigned patient or group of patients.
• Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and changes in physician orders.
• Assists physician in examinations and minor procedures.
• Obtains and monitors physiological data and intervenes as needed.
• Administers medication as prescribed and manages IV infusions and blood products.
• Delivers patient care safely and competently and resolves patient complaints.
• Informs patient and family of procedures and care plan during care and discharge.
• Makes referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
• Supports mentorship and maintains licensure; contributes to professional development.
• Fosters an inclusive workforce and delegates tasks to staff as needed.
