Job summary

0-2 years’ experience required.
Able to complete phlebotomy and EKG training within 90 days of hire.
AHA Basic Life Support certification.
Active enrollment in nursing school.

Responsibilities

Support patients’ activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding, hygiene, mobility, transport) and follow standard precautions.
Perform phlebotomy, vital signs, point of care testing, EKGs, Foley catheter care as directed by RN.
Identify and communicate changes in patient status to RN and respond appropriately.
Reinforce education for patients and families regarding care needs and safety.
Participate in patient satisfaction initiatives and orientation of new hires.
Complete annual hospital and unit-specific competencies by the due date.
Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards to ensure a safe environment.
Demonstrate effective communication with patients, visitors, and coworkers.
Identify and communicate changes in patient status.
