Job summary

Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC is seeking a Neuro ICU Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Neuro ICU team. You will deliver direct patient care for critically ill adults, collaborate with neuro intensivists, and participate in rounds, orders, and care coordination.

Required: NP with MSN/DNP in acute care or PA with accredited PA program, NC license and DEA; Fellowship in critical care preferred.

Qualifications

• MSN or DNP in Acute Care for adult NP.
• PA program completion with Bachelor's degree; advanced degree preferred.
• Critical Care Fellowship training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care for Neuro Critical Care patients in the Neuro ICU.
• Conduct rounds with the attending physician to assess, diagnose, plan treatment, and evaluate outcomes.
• Prescribe medications and manage orders.
• Coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
• Mentor learners and participate in quality initiatives and research.
