Job summary

Orlando Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg Neuro unit at Bayfront Hospital. The role involves patient care in a fast-paced acute setting with monitoring and collaboration across the care team.

Responsibilities include assessment, care planning, family advocacy, and supervision as a preceptor or nurse clinician. Strong telemetry skills and adherence to safety standards are required to support brain-related conditions and stroke care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Orlando Health and unit/department.
• Maintains current State of Florida RN license or valid eNLC multistate RN license.
• Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient’s needs and develop an individualized plan of care.
• Respect diversity by building respectful relationships with all team members and customers.
• Function as a patient and family advocate.
• Provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
• Serve as a preceptor, charge nurse, unit educator, and/or nurse clinician.
• Communicate and collaborate with medical staff and interdisciplinary team.
• Coordinate care and delegate tasks to team members.
• Document patient care and ensure compliance with standards.
• Maintain a safe, organized work area and attend staff meetings.
