McLeod Regional Medical Center is seeking a Neuro Endovascular Nurse Practitioner to join the Neuroservices team in Florence, SC. The role involves comprehensive patient evaluations, treatment planning, and collaboration with neurology, stroke, neurosurgery, and thrombectomy teams.

The position requires a Master’s degree in advanced practice, valid South Carolina PA license, McLeod Privileges, and BLS certification.

• Functions as part of the multidisciplinary Neuroservices team for care of Neurology, Stroke, Neurosurgical and Thrombectomy patients.
• Provides education to patients and families about disease processes.
• Liaises between patients and care providers to coordinate care.
• Participates in Neuroservices conferences as needed.
• Maintains knowledge of current therapies for Neuroservices patients.
• Ensures accurate and timely EMR documentation and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications/Training:

Minimum of a master’s degree as an Advance Practitioner in Associated specialty.

Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.

Ability to work independently.

Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education:

Must possess a valid SC license – Physician Assistant (PA) by approved accrediting agency and maintain McLeod Privileges.

• 3. Functions as a part of the multidisciplinary Neuroservices team for provision of care to the Neurology, Stroke, Neurosurgical and Thrombectomy patients.
• 4. As needed, provides education to patients and family members about specific disease processes.
• 5. Serves as liaison between patients and clinical care providers, facilitating communication and coordination of care as needed.
• 6. Participates in site specific Neuroservices conferences.
• 7. Promotes the profession of Neuroservices Physician Assistance through patient in quality improvement initiatives within the Neuroservices program.
• 8. Maintains working knowledge of current therapies and treatment details for the specific disease for the Neuroservices population served. Demonstrates competency in, but not limited to the following (refer to McLeod Health Competency Checklist):

• 17. Work under an approved supervisory agreement with a South Carolina licensed physician, maintaining appropriate documentation as required by state law.
• 18. Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations including history, physical examinations, and diagnostic workups.
• 19. Provide diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions within scope of practice.
• 20. Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic procedures.
• 21. Perform clinical procedures such as suturing, wound care, splinting, injections, and other tasks consistent with training and credentialing.
• 22. Prescribe medications and therapies in compliance with South Carolina prescribing regulations.
• 23. Formulate and implement treatment plans, including patient education and follow up care.
• 24. Assist in coordinating care with specialists, ancillary services, and the broader healthcare team.
• 25. Completes annual training and annual educational requirements timely.
• 26. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• 27. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, organizational policies, and professional practice standards.
• 28. Maintain required continuing medical education (CME) and stay current with South Carolina licensure requirements.
• 29. Performs other tasks, duties or responsibilities as assigned or needed for the effective, safe and efficient functioning operation of the hospital.
