Job summary

You will maintain equipment, monitor for artifacts, assist during seizures and emergent events, and document findings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an EEG training program (11 months) or 6 months on-the-job training.
• Graduate of an EEG program or 12 months on-the-job training preferred.
• Technical/Vocational EEG training diploma or degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs standard and complex EEGs by using the 10-20 electrode system and applying EEG electrodes.
• Maintains equipment and inventory; reports need for major repairs to Clinical Engineering.
• Records evoked responses and monitors signals for artifacts and variations during procedures.
• Provides patient care and observes clinical manifestations during seizures or emergencies.
• Summarizes neurologic status and explains procedures to patients and families.
• Performs comprehensive analysis of EEG data using CSA.
