Job summary

SSM Health Neuro Transitional Center seeks a Registered Dietitian to provide dietary consultation within 48 hours of orders and to assist with menu planning aligned to the Neuro Recovery Plate. The role emphasizes education for both staff and patients and requires collaboration with the transdisciplinary team.

The position is PRN, 8 hours weekly (two 4-hour shifts), with on-site flexibility and potential for remote work for a portion of the 4-hour period.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition required.
• Current state licensure/certification, if required by state.
• Current registration by the Commission on Dietetics Registration required.
• One year of work experience in a facility setting with clinical responsibilities or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide dietary consultation for patients as needed, within 48 hours of order.
• Menu planning and review to ensure compliance with brain-healthy diet guidelines.
• Plan and review menus with consideration of individual dietary needs.
• Deliver staff and patient education on nutrition.
