Job summary

Centers Health Care's Richmond Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Staten Island, NY is seeking a Recreation Aide to work with residents in the neuro behavioral program. You will lead group and individual activities, prepare spaces, and help residents enjoy meaningful leisure while supporting daily living skills.

Responsibilities include planning diversional activities, transporting residents, documenting participation, and adapting activities to residents' needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead diversional activities and life-skills activities with residents in group and individual settings.
• Prepare room and equipment for activities and restore order after sessions.
• Store and maintain all equipment and supplies.
• Decorate for holidays and events; contribute ideas for programming.
• Adapt activities and equipment to residents' needs.
• Transport/escort residents to and from activities.
• Assist during trips/outings and liaise with community groups as required.
• Document participation in residents' records and other required documentation.
