Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise seeks a Networking Leader in California to guide strategic operations across engineering and product teams. This senior executive role combines global scope with a regional focus and requires delivering on business plans.

You will collaborate with executive leadership, manage budgets, and drive initiatives for efficiency, talent development, and cross-functional alignment. The position is hybrid, with two days in-office per week, in line with HPE’s flexible work model.

Qualifications

  • First level university degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Advanced university degree preferred.
  • Typically 20 or more years of related work experience, including 15 or more years of people management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provides overall strategic leadership for a geography or business segment made up of multiple organizations involved with designing and developing engineering solutions for products, systems, software, and solutions.
  • Creates strategic vision and drives the development of operations and resource plans, goals, and priorities for the geography or business segment based on business and technology roadmap and functional objectives.
  • Manages overall operational activities for the organization, ensuring that resources are appropriately allocated and that strategic goals and budgets are met in accordance with organizational metrics and business plans.
  • Engages with senior and executive leadership for programs, marketing, supply chain, and technical leaders to integrate activities, elevate and resolve issues, and guide and influence company-wide strategic decision-making.
  • Manages and develops executive relationships and escalated issues with outsourced partners and suppliers to ensure that organization is effectively leveraging outsourced resources and identify opportunities for strategic growth and development.
  • Provides executive leadership for business process improvement and cost reduction initiatives and programs across the geography or business segment.
  • Provides overall people-care management for direct reports, including hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development; drives and fosters organization-wide performance standards, expectations, and practices to support ongoing team member and process development.

Job Description

Leads one or more major functions/departments within a multifaceted organization. Responsible for the operational success, strategic alignment and full integration of activities with other major organizational functions. Fully accountable for the long-term success of the designated organization and to the overall contribution to broader Company goals. Assumes responsibility for the successful implementation of business plans in a defined area of responsibility. Owns the definition of operational and strategic goals for one or more large, complex functions or departments. Acts as a key advisor to executive management in influencing the strategic direction of the business.

  • Organizational and strategic management skills, including strategic vision and planning development and forecasting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Highly experienced in managing human capital across geographies and functional areas to drive workforce development and achieve desired results.
  • Advanced communication skills catered to a wide variety of audiences. (e.g. written, verbal, presentation); mastery in English and local language.
  • Extensive business acumen, technical knowledge, and industry experience encompassing one or more engineering, technology, and product domains.
  • Advanced multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
  • Advanced relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting with executive/C-level roles for internal and external partners.
  • Strong understanding of company's policies and processes.
Impact/Scope

Collaborates across geographies and business segments to deliver multidisciplinary engineering and product solutions. Typically interacts with high-level Individual Contributors, Managers, Directors, and VPs and SVPs for internal and external suppliers, partners, and customers. Drives large and complex cross-company and regional/global business initiatives.

Complexity

Leads highly-complex multidisciplinary engineering development, support, and improvement activities and regional/global organizations. Anticipates strategic needs and impact on the business and company as a whole.
