Gallatin College seeks non‑tenure track faculty to teach Networking/Cyber Security courses at the Gallatin College East campus. Appointments may be part‑time, ranging from a couple of weeks to an academic year, and salary is based on the number and duration of courses taught. This position is not eligible for sponsorship.

Brief Position Overview

Gallatin College is recruiting qualified individuals to provide non‑tenure level instruction and related functions within the Networking/Cyber Security programs. The department or program will evaluate applications, and selected candidates will be notified or retained in the hiring pool for up to two years.

Duties and Responsibilities

Course instructors will teach at Gallatin College East in one or more of the following specialty areas:

• CompTIA A+
• LAN / WAN Technologies
• MCSA
• Project Management
• Routing and Switching (CCNA 1 & 2)
• Security+

Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills

• Academic degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
• Demonstrated experience engaging students and colleagues within and outside the department

Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology
• Three or more years of industry experience
• Prior teaching experience
• Understanding of the two‑year college mission

Position Special Requirements / Additional Information

The position may be a Union position. Union affiliation is determined by job duties and the collective bargaining unit.

Faculty more than 0.5 FTE may be eligible for benefits under the Montana Two‑Year College Faculty Association, Montana State University, the Montana University System, or the AFMSU Non‑Tenure Track Collective Bargaining Agreements.

The Program

This Certificate of Applied Science in Network Technology introduces students to the design, implementation, and management of linked computer systems. Students will learn hardware, software, local and wide area networking, security principles, and more, with the goal of preparing them for industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Cisco ENC, and Microsoft Technology Associate.
