Job summary

Teltonika Ltd. in Irving, Texas invites a Networking and IoT Engineering Specialist to join our team. You will consult with clients on device and solution issues, integrate TeltonikaNetworks products, and troubleshoot complex networking challenges across OpenWRT and Linux-based systems.

The role emphasizes hands-on work with routers, VLANs, VPNs, and industrial networking protocols, with opportunities for professional growth in a fast-growing global IoT company.

Qualifications

  • Technical or engineering education or background.
  • Strong communications skills and the ability to explain technical topics clearly.
  • Working knowledge of software and operating system principles.
  • Knowledge of basic internet technologies (WWW, FTP, etc.).
  • Understanding of telecommunication systems and technologies.
  • Ability to prepare clear and structured technical documentation.
  • Good knowledge of Wi-Fi technologies (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac).
  • Experience configuring VLANs and QoS.
  • Experience configuring VPN solutions such as IPSec, L2TP, OpenVPN, DMVPN, and SSTP, with a solid understanding of their principles and differences.
  • At least 12 months of experience working with routers, including knowledge of 2G, 3G, and 4G networks, network authentication methods, and data session establishment.
  • Experience working with embedded, Linux-based OpenWRT operating systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge and ability to use AT commands.
  • Ability to write simple bash/ash scripts.
  • Knowledge of firewall principles and experience configuring firewalls using IPTABLES.
  • Experience working with industrial routers is considered an advantage.

Overview

We are looking for a Networking and IoT Engineering Specialist to join our team in Irving, Texas (USA). In this role, you will work closely with internal teams and clients to provide technical expertise, resolve complex networking challenges, and support the integration of TeltonikaNetworks products into customer solutions. Teltonika’s networking solutions business unit develops and manufactures industrial and enterprise connectivity equipment, primarily routers, switches, gateways, and modems. Our networking devices serve clients in the most complex areas of Industry 4.0, Smart City, and Green Energy.

In this role, you will
